Tarrington has an active Parents and Friends Association, the primary responsibility being to organise a variety of school community social events and fundraising activities for the betterment of the whole school.
Every year, the PFA allocate funds towards school camps, keeping costs down for families and allowing students to experience excellent learning beyond the classroom.

For many years, the PFA have been catering for the Tarrington Senior Citizens luncheons on a monthly basis in the Tarrington Hall.
This catering is the PFA’s major fundraiser for the year and all profits go to the school so that facilities and resources are maintained and developed.
School families are rostered on to assist in the catering. During terms 2 and 3, school families are also expected to help with providing soup and milo for students.
Every year, money is contributed by the PFA towards the purchase of items, donations and activities including-

- Class resources
- School camps
- Bibles (Year 3)
- Mothers and Fathers Nights (tea)
- BBQ’s- Lutheran Schools Week; Welcome BBQ

- The PFA Welcome BBQ allows the school community to welcome everyone to the new school year. A special emphasis is placed on new families and staff.

- The PFA supports the school’s sporting events with purchasing of equipment, trophies and ribbons
- The PFA cater for the Hamilton Senior Citizens on a monthly basis by providing lunch in the school hall. This is the PFA’s major fundraising activity where all school families are involved. The Year 6 students are also involved by helping with the serving of the lunch- a terrific way to make connections with each other.
